Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) As the voice of the wireless industry in Canada, CWTA maintains visibility with its members, the media, key government and regulatory officials and the general public. CWTA's members include mobile telephone service providers, paging companies, mobile radio, mobile satellite carriers and fixed wireless service providers from coast to coast. In addition, CWTA represents a broad cross-section of manufacturers and equipment suppliers to the industry. CWTA is increasingly sought after by the news media as a reliable and informative source for industry news and commentary, and an authoritative source of industry statistics. |

CDMA Development Group (CDG) The CDG is leading the rapid evolution and deployment of CDMA-based systems, based on open standards and encompassing all core architectures, to meet the needs of markets around the world in an emerging, information-intensive environment. The CDG is a consortium of companies who have joined together to lead the adoption and evolution of CDMA wireless systems around the world. The CDG is comprised of the world's leading CDMA service providers and vendors. Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) WOW-COM acts as an industry industry clearinghouse, providing in-depth, up-to-the-minute wireless news and commentary, a summary of current law and public policy activities, overviews of wireless technology and provider operations, industry statistics and surveys, a host of end-user information resources, and an active career center. CTIA also produces several major expositions, including WIRELESS -- the industry's largest single annual gathering. |

GSM Association The GSM Association is the premier global body behind the world's leading wireless communications standard. It is responsible for the development, deployment and evolution of the GSM standard for digital wireless communications and for the promotion of the GSM platform. Membership spans Western, Eastern and Central Europe, India and the Asia-Pacific regions, the Middle East and Africa, North and South America. The spirit of international co-operation that has created GSM is an inherent part of membership of the GSM Association. The Association represents the interests of over 400 GSM, Satellite and 3rd Generation networks operators, regulator and administrative bodies and key manufacturers and suppliers to the GSM industry. |

Global Wireless Education Consortium (GWEC) The GWEC is a collaboration of wireless industry companies and academic institutions. GWEC is focused on expanding wireless technology curriculum in two-year and four-year academic institutions. GWEC is a new model for relationship between industry and education. Many companies and schools develop the curriculum together, and only once. That curriculum is then shared among GWEC members. |

Mobile Data Association (MDA) The MDA was established in 1994 to increase awareness of mobile data amongst users and their advisers. The Association has grown to become the forum for the international mobile data community. As well as providing a focal point for industry participants to meet and share information on technical and business issues, the MDA actively works to promote the uses and benefits of wireless value added services through industry and business press, conferences, seminars, and our web site. Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA) PCIA is the leading international trade association representing the personal communications services (PCS) industry. PCIA has been instrumental in advancing regulatory policies, legislation, and technical standards that have helped launch the age of personal communications services. One of PCIA's greatest strengths is its ability to foster and represent consensus in order to advance the interests of the PCS industry. PCIA represents the chief providers of wireless voice and data communications to both consumers and businesses. PCIA’s member companies include PCS licensees and those in the cellular, paging, ESMR, SMR, mobile data, cable, computer, manufacturing, and local and interexchange sectors of the industry, as well as technicians, wireless systems integrators, communications site owners, distributors and service professionals, and private corporate system users. Universal Mobile Telecommunications System Forum (UTMS Forum) The UMTS Forum is an international and independent body, uniquely committed through the building of cross-industry consensus to the successful introduction and development of UMTS/IMT-2000 "third generation" mobile communications systems. Uniquely focused on the delivery of market-focused recommendations and creating an environment for the successful commercial realisation of UMTS/IMT-2000 globally, the Forum is engaged in a wide range of activities to increase awareness and understanding of third generation opportunities and issues. Established in 1996, the UMTS Forum is a non-profit making global organisation that currently has over 200 member organisations drawn from the mobile operator, supplier, regulatory, consultant, IT and media/content communities. The UMTS Forum works as a catalyst with other specialist organisations to examine issues such as technical standards, spectrum, market demand, business opportunities, terminal equipment circulation and convergence between the mobile communications and computing industries. |

Wireless Communications Association (WCA) The WCA represents the fixed broadband wireless access industry worldwide. The WCA's mission is to advance the interests of the wireless systems that provide data (including Internet and e-commerce), voice and video services on a subscription basis through land-based towers to fixed reception/transmit devices. Membership is comprised of fixed wireless system operators worldwide, as well as: equipment and service suppliers; video, software and other content providers; financial institutions; and engineers, attorneys and other consultants. |
