This module will state and explain the process of working on an electrical circuit
Material will include testing, and protective measures that must be in place prior to
working on any electrical circuit. The following is a list of some topics covered:

- Purpose of grounding
- System Grounds
- Equipment Grounds
- Grounding requirements
- PPE
- Protective equipment
- Unsafe personal items and prohibited tools
- Approach distances
Module 4 Review Of specifications related to course: OSHA 1926.926
Module 5 Live Dead Testing Method
This section will state and explain the process of testing electrical circuits
and equipment with the Live Dead Live testing method.
- Review testing tools used in the industry.
( Please let us know what testers you use, as we will spend extra
time on you specific tools and needs if necessary)
The remainder of the course will bring everything together and we will
perform testing on lines and equipment on the needs of the operation
and equipment. We can place grounds on lines and equipment as needed.
Tools and meters that should be available:
- Digital meters
- Proximity testers
- Test sticks
- Hot sticks
Lab should have equipment and or cable that the technicians will be working on or around.
